Description
This Buddha figure is totally unique. The wooden statue is meticulously hand-carved from tamarind wood by a highly skilled Master sculptor from the Angkor Temples region. The image is finished with a homemade oil painting, crafted by us using natural raw materials. After applying several layers of this distinctive oil painting, we add 7 to 10 layers of natural vegetable lacquer. The next step involves gilding the statue with gold leaves by Master Artisans, a meticulous process that takes several days to carefully apply gold to each part of the piece.
Following the gilding process, we apply a final layer of natural vegetable lacquer. While it is still sticky, we coat the statue with thin, refined clay. This is how we achieve our distinctive final touch. Every piece goes through an extensive processing period that spans many weeks to craft this one-of-a-kind work of art. Due to the artistic handmade process, each piece stands out, possessing its own unique characteristics.
