Global Export & Wholesale Shipping Guide
Welcome to the Khmer Ceramics global logistics portal. For two decades, we have safely exported our 1300°C vitrified stoneware to hospitality groups, distributors, and lifestyle brands across the globe.
Because true high-fired stoneware is incredibly dense and heavy, international shipping economics change drastically based on volume. While small retail orders require premium express air freight, our B2B partners benefit from highly efficient LCL (pallet) and FCL (full container) sea freight.
Furthermore, by importing directly from our facility in Cambodia, wholesale buyers in the EU, UK, and Australia benefit from 0% Import Duty, making our ceramics a highly lucrative alternative to Chinese manufacturing. Review our export terms, container capacities, and shipping methods below to plan your procurement.
Express Air Freight (Samples & Retail)
Because true 1300°C vitrified stoneware is exceptionally dense and heavy, air freight is not a viable option for volume procurement. We exclusively use DHL Express for B2B sample shipments and small retail orders.
- Transit Time: 8 to 20 days door-to-door.
- Cost: Calculated by volumetric weight at checkout. Please note that for heavy ceramics, air freight can often exceed the cost of the products themselves.
- Note: We do not offer standard postal “surface mail” for international orders due to high breakage risks and lack of secure tracking.
Less Than Container Load (LCL - Pallets)
LCL (shipping by the Cubic Meter / CBM) is the industry standard for mid-sized wholesale orders. Your goods are packed securely on pallets and consolidated into a shared sea container. This drastically reduces the shipping cost per plate compared to air freight.
- Minimum Volume: 1 CBM (Cubic Meter).
- Average Value: ~ $4,000 USD worth of ceramics per CBM.
- Volume Estimations (per 1 CBM): Includes our 5-ply reinforced export packaging.
~ 290 Large Dinner Plates (32cm / 12.5″)
~ 550 Regular Bowls (13cm / 5″)
~ 650 Mugs (7cm / 2.5″)
Full Container Load (FCL - 20ft & 40ft)
For large hospitality projects and distributor contracts, FCL is the most economical and secure logistics choice. Your freight travels port-to-port in a dedicated container, minimizing handling and maximizing margin.
⚠️ The “Stoneware Weight” Rule (Maximum 20 Tons):
Because our ceramics are high-density stoneware, containers will often hit maximum weight limits before they run out of physical space.
- 20-Foot Container: Ideal for dense, flat items (Plates). A 20ft container filled entirely with plates will reach the 20-Ton legal limit before the container is visually full.
- 40-Foot Container: Ideal for hollow items (Mugs, Jugs, and Deep Bowls). A 40ft container allows you to maximize volume without exceeding the 20-Ton legal weight limit.
Our logistics team will assist you in perfectly balancing your FCL order for maximum freight efficiency.
