1.Training in rural areas:

  Newsletters The rural vocational training aim to given for villagers communities the knowledge in order to handle clay works. They will be able to self sustain small pottery business in touristy areas increasing sustainable wealthy..

-Earth digging.

  Holydays at Angkor

-Clay preparation.

  Residencies   -drying.
    -Pit firing.

If the concerned villages are not in tourist area and (or) have difficulties for sale their production, this production will be buy by the National Center for Khmer Ceramics Revival.

     
       
 

AIMING FAIR TRADE.

     
  Following motivation of villagers communities, different development can be plan :      
                       
      - Initiation on potter wheel.        
      -Installation of kiln(s) & firing techniques initiation.        
      -Glazing initiation.        
                       
                       

Clay preparation seems simple, but it’s a very important stage and need a knowledge.

         

   

2. Vocational training in the centre :

   
             
                     
 

Techniques linked to ceramic are extremely complexes and it needs a long apprenticeship. We must ensure this technological transfer who usually is made from generation to generation, because those technologies are deeply linked to Cambodian soil. This craft heritage was broken in awful event bear by the Cambodians.

     
       
       
       
       
                     
  Training cycles are managed in logical progression, if a student stops after a cycle; we want that he can use his new knowledge to find professional opportunities.      
       
                  Potter wheel techniques needs a very long apprenticeship.

Actually: three students are in apprenticeship, in the center (cycle 1).

The National Center for Khmer Ceramics Revival is not granted for the moment
