is a ceramic art centre located in Siem Reap, Cambodia, five kilometers south of the most famous Khmer temple, Angkor Wat.

The KCS was created by the National Center for Khmer Ceramics Revival, which feels isolated in terms of culture and ideology. It is our wish of independence and our desire to work alongside international artists that led to the residencies program.

The mission of the studio is to promote the formal, aesthetic and technical development of ceramics, to help foster creative skills and to offer to resident artist opportunities to understand the unique Khmer artistic heritage. The studio is open to all challenges of ceramic research, design and experiment. With this in mind the KCS offers facilities and kilns, studio space and technical support.

Our facilities give artists an excellent opportunity to concentrate on their work in a creative and mutually supportive environment where new and imaginative ideas can be explored and realized.

The studio offers a residency program for artists who wish to work independently in the studio on their own projects. Parallel to this program we organize a thematic program which offers workshops, symposia, courses, talks and seminars.

A special art complex is being created where the masters, teachers and students will live, create and learn together in an atmosphere where art education, respect for the values of different cultures, will co-exist.
