- Put forward workable kiln for Khmers potters :

Khmer potters, actually, can't afford needed investment for fuel kiln, use of wood for firing is indispensable, at least in the first time. NCKCR want manage this fact as better as possible. We experiment different wood kilns types. As we deduct, "bourry box" kiln is easy to build, sparing in wood and easy to use. Refractory bricks fabrication, based on local clay, was made in the NCKCR, technology is working. It will decrease the cost price of such kilns. Kiln plan will be translate in Khmer language and available for free.

            - Researches on Khmers Antiques Techniques :

Reconstitution of a Khmer Antique Kiln, is a goal of the NCKCR, it is not simple as it seems. We will build our first reconstitution after a study lead with archeologists specialized in this branch. The complete evolution of this kiln will be a long way and will take many years.

Pit firing, also named "primitive firing", is performed in the NCKCR. This method seems very simple. To use this firing technology, potters need knowledge, in order to control the process.

Carbon trapping, is practiced from more than a millennium all around the world and seems to have an important role in Khmer Antiques ceramics. Technology is simple and very well knows; but in practice there are infinite manners to obtain the carbon trapping. This very enthusiastic research will take few years to reach its goal.

Commercialization of our oeuvres, play an important sustain role for the NCKCR. It is a financial resource; it allows us to continue our way to our aims: vocational training, promotion of Khmer Ceramics, researches, fight against illicit trade of Khmer Antiques Ceramics.
