  About us
From 500 years ago; Cambodia lost its ceramics craftsmen; last events endured by the Khmer population completely extinguish this knowledge. Moreover, every days Khmer Antiques Ceramics are illegally trade and exported from Cambodia. This critical situation prompted a concerned group of international scholars and ceramists to form The National Center for Khmer Ceramics Revival (NCKCR), a non-profit organization dedicated to provoke the rebirth of the ceramics sector in Cambodia. The National Center for Khmer Ceramics Revival has been working since 2006 to achieve those aims and to raise awareness about its national requirement.

The National Center for Khmer Ceramics Revival (NCKCR) was founded by Mr Serge Rega, enthusiastic ceramist, he leads since 2003 researches and experiences on minerals in Siem Reap region; he record the complete disappearance of Khmer Ancestral Ceramics techniques. Following his preoccupation due of the disappearance of this major Khmer traditional craft and an entire chapter of Cambodia’s history, he made it his mission to rediscover, promote, teach and protect this disappeared Khmer Traditional craft. To better achieve this goals, he founded the NCKCR.

The organization has been featured in both the national and the international media, including Touch Stone Magazine, Ceramics Today, and has also received awards from private organizations and donors.
